Specialist Support for Children on Deprivation of Liberty Orders
Specialist Support
Supporting children subject to Deprivation of Liberty (DoLs) orders requires a high level of professional understanding and careful oversight.
Our in-house Social Worker works alongside homes, local authorities and legal professionals to ensure that restrictions placed on young people are lawful, proportionate and always in the child’s best interests.
Our Approach
This includes:
- Monitoring that DoLs conditions are implemented safely and appropriately
- Supporting staff to understand the legal framework and children’s rights
- Ensuring care plans aim to minimise restrictions wherever possible
- Advocating for the young person’s wishes and feelings
- Supporting regular review of restrictions
This approach ensures children receive safe, ethical and rights-based care even within complex legal frameworks.
Our Commitment
At Your Care, our focus is always on creating safe, nurturing environments where children and young people can recover from past experiences, develop resilience and build positive futures.
We are committed to working collaboratively with local authorities, families and partner agencies to deliver care that is responsive, professional and centred around the needs of each young person.
